Dan Lorenz Recognized for Industry Leadership
The Builders Exchange recently announced that Dan Lorenz, C.E.O. of Performance Site Co., has been named the 54th recipient of the BX Cornerstone Award.
Considered to be the highest honor presented by the Central Ohio construction industry, the award recognizes an individual's leadership contributions to the community, the industry and the Exchange.
Lorenz has almost 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Last month, Lorenz and his employees celebrated the 20th anniversary of the company he founded.
Lorenz has been a member of the Builders Exchange since 1988. He and his employees regularly participate in BX events, such as the Open House, the Golf Outing and the Annual Meeting.
Performance Site Company has received several BX Safety Awards, including the BX Industry Impact Safety Award in 2005. Employees have won several BX Craftsmanship Awards as well.
Lorenz was one of the first members of the Founders Circle of the BX Foundation and is a contributor to many community and industry causes.
In addition to his BX involvement, Lorenz has been a member of a Young President's Organization, the Bishop Watterson High School Advancement and Steering Committee, and an assistant coach for St. Brigid of Kildare Football.
Lorenz was chosen as the 2008 Builders Exchange Cornerstone recipient based on his achievements in the following areas:

- Community Involvement
- Years of Service to the Industry
Lorenz will be recognized by the industry at the BX Annual Meeting, set for Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Aladdin Shrine Center.
The 2008 BX Cornerstone Award Review Committee is made up of seven members including Parr Peterson, chairman, (Paul Peterson Co.), Eric Bull (The Quandel Group), Josh Corna (Corna/Kokosing Construction Co.), Brian Dew (Mid-City Electric Co.), Don Leach (Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP), Mark Setterlin (R.W. Setterlin Building Co.) and Charlie Steitz (Sauer, Inc.).
